Three project ideas

I know that I want my project to be related to Mass Communication and journalism. It is something that I am very interested in.

I’ve been putting most of my time into making this a project on what journalism students can do to get a job out of college. It’s tough out there right now. Everybody knows that, and I’m not going to complain about the economy. However, I will show how getting on twitter, blogging and networking is beneficial. It is all about branding one’s self.

Then I started thinking about goals. For example, you might have told your mom growing up that you wanted to be a rock star. She most likely replied, “That’s great honey, but you’re going to need a backup plan.” It’s smart to have a backup plan, like going to college to get a business degree, but why can’t you still work on your dream at the same time? I want to do a project on individual goals and how students can still work on accomplishing them while in school.

After those ideas settled in, I decided on my last idea. I’m going to combine them. One of classmates suggested it, and I couldn’t agree more. The theme is going to be the “me” network. It will show how people need to brand themselves and not be afraid to follow their passions. All of this will hopefully help by the time it’s ready for graduation.
