Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are expected to face increasing attacks by hackers in 2010, according to web security firm observations, McAfee. “Spike in the number of applications for Facebook and other services would be an ideal vector for cybercriminal, who will take advantage of a trusted friend to click a link that would threaten the user if not careful.” McAfee said.
In a report titled 2010 Threat Predictions, McAfee also revealed that there are increasing threats to the security vulnerability of banking and the use botnet to infect computers by spreading malicious software or malware. McAfee revealed that Adobe products, especially Acrobat Reader and Flash, Microsoft Office will also be a threat in the next three years and the operating system was released Google Chrome will provide kesepatan hackers to trick users. Hackers will also try to take advantage of the short service URL, like bit.ly and tinyurl.com.
